We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in full compliance with Google Play Developer Program Policies, Apple App Store Guidelines (including App Tracking Transparency), and applicable data protection laws such as GDPR and COPPA.

By installing, accessing, or using our App or website, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately. This policy covers parents, students, teachers, and school administrators.

2. Information We Collect & Permissions

We collect minimal personal information necessary to deliver core educational features. Below is the detailed breakdown, including mandatory justifications for both Android and iOS platforms.

• Camera Access (Android & iOS): Used exclusively for capturing profile images, scanning QR codes for attendance, uploading assignment photos, and document verification. No images are accessed without your explicit action. Camera is never used in the background.
• Storage / Photo Library Access: Required to upload homework, assignments (PDF/Images), download learning materials, and save certificates. On iOS, we request limited Photo Library access only for adding images you choose. On Android, we use scoped storage to protect your files.
• Account & Profile Information: Name, email address, role (parent/student/teacher), student roll number, class/section to personalize dashboards and enable communication.
• Device Identifiers & Analytics: We collect device model, OS version, advertising ID (with user consent on iOS via App Tracking Transparency), and unique push tokens to send notifications and improve stability.
• Location (Optional): For attendance geo-fencing or bus tracking — only with explicit consent. Location data is never sold or shared for marketing.

We do not sell or rent any personal data. All data usage is strictly for school administration, attendance, grades, fee reminders, and teacher-parent communication.

3. Third-Party Services & SDKs

Our App integrates trusted third-party services to improve functionality and analytics. Each provider adheres to strict privacy standards:

• Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) – For real-time alerts on iOS devices regarding assignments, events, and fee due dates.

For iOS users, we request permission for tracking (if applicable) through App Tracking Transparency framework. You may disable tracking at any time in device settings.

4. Apple iOS Specific Conditions

In compliance with Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines and privacy requirements:

• App Tracking Transparency (ATT): If we use any identifiers for tracking across apps/websites owned by other companies, we will display the ATT prompt and obtain your explicit permission before tracking. Currently, we do NOT share data with third-party advertisers.
• Camera & Photos Permissions: On iOS, we request permission the first time you try to upload an image or scan a QR code. You can revoke access anytime via Settings → Privacy.
• Background Data Usage: Our app does not collect location or camera data in the background. Notifications are delivered via APNs without accessing personal content.
• Data Deletion Rights: iOS users can request complete account deletion from within the app or by emailing admin@schoolerpindia.com; deletion is processed within 30 days.

5. Google Play Data Safety & Families Policy

We strictly adhere to Google Play’s “Data safety” section and Families Policy (if applicable). Our commitments:

• All camera, microphone, and storage permissions are only used for in-app features with prominent disclosure at runtime.
• No sensitive user data is transferred to external parties without explicit consent (e.g., cloud backup is encrypted).
• We do not sell user data to any third parties.
• For children under 13, we rely on school-verified parental consent and do not allow direct child accounts without guardian authorization.
• We provide an in-app data deletion option and respond to deletion requests within 7 business days.

This policy fully satisfies Google Play’s User Data Policy and Permissions policy as of 2026.

6. Log Data & Crash Analytics

To improve app performance, we collect anonymized log data via Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase. This includes device OS version, time of crash, and usage patterns — without any personally identifiable information. Logs are retained for 90 days and automatically purged.

7. Children's Privacy (Under 13)

Our services are designed for schools and parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Schools using School ERP India are responsible for obtaining consent as required by COPPA, GDPR-K, or local laws. If we discover unauthorized data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately. Parents/guardians may contact admin@schoolerpindia.com to review or delete their child’s information.

8. Storage Access & Offline Content

Our app stores homework, assignments, and study materials in app-specific directories (Android scoped storage / iOS file provider). Files are never accessed by other apps without your action. Downloaded documents remain on your device until you uninstall the app or manually delete them. We do not scan or collect personal files from external storage.

9. Data Retention & Your Rights

We retain personal data only as long as your account is active or as required to provide services. Upon account deletion by school admin or user request, we delete all profile data, messages, and uploaded media within 30 days. You have the right to:

• Access and correct your personal data.
• Request data portability (export as JSON/CSV).
• Withdraw consent for camera/storage/notification permissions.
• Request permanent deletion of your account.

10. Data Security & Encryption

We implement industry-standard security measures: TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit, AES-256 for data at rest, regular vulnerability scans, and restricted access controls. Payment processing (if any) is handled by PCI-DSS compliant gateways; we never store credit card details. In case of a data breach, affected users will be notified within 72 hours as required by law.

11. Required Permissions (Android & iOS)

To be fully transparent and meet store requirements, we justify each permission:
